I am a physical therapist, strength and conditioning specialist and golf nerd. It is my continual passion to further my knowledge of fitness and golf biomechanics. I founded Superhuman Golf to apply my knowledge in service of fellow golfers by helping them understand how their athleticism impacts their game and their lives. My hope is for all golfers to gain the knowledge, habits and physical abilities that allow them to play the best golf they are capable of, for as long as they can.
About the logo
The mission of Superhuman Golf is to help every golfer improve their athleticism.
Athleticism boosts performance and longevity not just in golf, but in life itself. I view this mission of athleticism as something far deeper than just going to the gym or shooting lower golf scores.
Athletic improvement is generally understood in this way: A list of physical attributes or sport outcomes that can be observed or measured externally. This is an accurate but superficial description. These external feats are simply outward expressions of an internal transformation. At its root, improved athleticism is a fundamental change in personal ethos centered around two crucial principles:
Struggle is the sculptor of resilience.
2. Big improvements are the continual accumulation of small improvements.
The Superhuman Golf logo is a symbolic expression of this idea. Inspired by the birthplace of golf, it takes the shape of a Celtic knot or infinite loop. Various forms of this shape were used by the ancestors of Scotland and Ireland to symbolize strength, resilience, and longevity.
Modern golf courses are referred to as “loops” or “links.” The logo is an infinite round of 18 links representing the golfer’s journey: To walk a course of endless challenges precisely because it is difficult. To force an evolution in themselves that only the demands of struggle can summon. To make pursuit their purpose, for the game is never truly perfected. I hope that this modern interpretation of an ancient symbol inspires all golfers to superhuman achievements.
